 在Windows 7的眾多版本中，Starter版本可以說(shuō)是最受爭(zhēng)議的一個(gè)。盡管微軟還沒(méi)有公布此版本的相關(guān)細(xì)節(jié)，但從最近泄露的Windows 7 Build 7068中的Starter版本來(lái)看，用戶可能不會(huì)樂(lè)意接受這樣的版本，因?yàn)槠渲械娜齻�(gè)程序和壁紙更換限制。不過(guò)微軟似乎要樂(lè)觀得多，尤其是談及netbooks時(shí)。
