 作為Windows 7的服務器版本，Windows Server 2008 R2的關(guān)注度遠遠不如個人客戶端版的Windows 7。但是考慮到Windows Server 2008的性能要高于Vista，對Windows Server 2008 R2的測試也就顯得有必要了。

其實對于處于開發(fā)階段的系統(tǒng)而言，微軟是禁止第三方進行測試的，但好在目前Windows 7和Windows Server 2008 R2都已經(jīng)完成RTM，Principled Technologies日前就將其與Windows Server 2008放在了一起，進行了對比測試。

Principled Technologies分別在兩臺Harpertown and和Nehalem服務器上測試了Windows Server的多個版本，同時，著重測試了多任務負載下的虛擬。結(jié)果顯示，Windows Server 2008 R2的平均性能要高出37%左右。

測試主要用于找出Windows Server 2008 R2在Intel Xeon E5450和X5570上Hyper-V的性能改進。結(jié)果完全沒有讓人失望。
